Many manufacturers struggle with soaring hazardous waste disposal fees, expensive fresh solvent purchases and growing pressure from local environmental controls. Unsure whether a solvent recovery machine works for their unique waste stream, they hesitate to place orders. To remove this uncertainty, Chongqing JBETT Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., a professional manufacturer of solvent recovery machines, has completed a full simulated distillation trial on SKH‑410B waste solvent sent by the client.

The test setup combined the TE‑60 solvent distillation host and BE‑90 vacuum negative pressure storage unit. The trial strictly replicated real factory operating conditions, not ideal lab environments. The TE‑60 unit features a 60 L feeding capacity, adjustable temperature ranging from 50℃ to 200℃, and supports both 380V power supply. Its theoretical solvent recovery rate reaches up to 95%.  High‑viscosity residue can be discharged easily with our matched high‑temperature filter bags for safer plant operation.

Our technical team weighed and sampled the raw feed, and logged all running parameters throughout the cycle, including vacuum level, heating temperature and distillate flow rate at different stages. As temperature rose, clean solvent started to condense and flow out steadily under stable vacuum. Operators fine‑tuned set points dynamically according to material behaviour until distillation was fully completed.

For this SKH‑410B test batch:

- Inlet net weight of waste solvent: 25 kg
- Recovered clean solvent: 21.9 kg
- Actual achieved recovery rate: 87.6%
A 200ml sample of recovered solvent was retained for further purity testing. Full records of residue condition, tare weight and leftover material were documented. Observed performance, including minor temperature fluctuations and flow changes, was logged to support parameter tuning for the customer’s on‑site commissioning later.

Waste organic solvents are classified as hazardous waste. Outsourced disposal is costly, while uncontrolled release creates VOC pollution and compliance risks. Vacuum distillation turns waste solvent back into reusable material. Factories slash recurring hazardous waste charges and reduce fresh solvent procurement, moving toward low‑carbon, circular production.

“Most of our overseas customers don’t want to buy based only on datasheets and theoretical numbers. They want proof on their own waste,” said Lyra Lu, International Sales Manager at JBETT. “That is why we offer free sample distillation testing. Real test data removes guesswork and lets clients make confident investment decisions. Every waste solvent behaves differently; a trial before purchase avoids costly mismatches.”

Jbett continues optimising distillation workflows for different industrial waste solvents. We deliver stable, customised hazardous waste reduction and solvent recycling solutions for printing, coatings, electronics and chemical manufacturers worldwide.
